BMA Resident Doctors’ strike called off
The industrial action planned by Resident Doctors, led by the British Medical Association (BMA) has been cancelled. Updated 1.50pm 14/6/26
It was announced at 8:30pm on 13 June that the industrial action due to take place from Monday 15 June until Friday 19 June has been called off.
Although the news came too late to avoid some patient disruption over the coming week, we will be reinstating services where possible.
Cheltenham's Emergency Department
Cheltenham's Emergency Department will now remain open as usual.
Planned operations, outpatient clinics and procedures:
- If you were previously told that your appointment was still going ahead during the strike action, please still attend.
- If you were previously told that your appointment would be cancelled due to the strike action, please note that we are working on what we can reinstate and will be in touch with you directly over the next few days about whether you should attend.
Thank you for all our staff for the hard work to manage this situation and ensure our patients continue to receive the best possible care.
